Samuel joined CHE in July 2019 working with the Global Health team. He studied at the Paris School of Economics and completed his PhD at the University of Sheffield. His research focuses on development economics, health and conflict, with an emphasis on economic history. He is currently involved in projects with Colombia and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
